HEELS SCHOOL
The studio where the classes are filmed, at night

The teacher

Alisa Akulieva

Alisa teaches dance. Heels is her discipline: the one where technique and attitude never come apart, where you learn as much about holding your footing as about owning a room.

HEELS SCHOOL was born from a simple observation: most women who want to try never dare push open a studio door. They watch videos, copy steps, and give up after three weeks because no one ever explained how to walk.

So she started over from the beginning. She films every class herself, in her own studio, with the same care: show the footing, say what hurts when you do it wrong, and never pretend it's easy.

How she teaches

What she does — and what she refuses to do.

Always

  • Show the feet. A heels class where you can't see the footing is useless.
  • Break it down before chaining it, and count out loud.
  • Film front and back any move that's meant to be copied.
  • Say when an exercise is hard, and how long it takes to get it.

Never

  • Promise a body, a size or a physical transformation.
  • Pretend a choreography can be learned in one session.
  • Compare students to each other.
  • Stay silent when a move puts ankles or backs at risk.

The simplest thing is still to try.

Three classes are free, no account needed. If after the third you want a fourth, the subscription is €19.90 a month.
